Daniella Mooney
Born in Nelspruit, South Africa, today Daniella Mooney (1986 - ) lives in Berlin. She completed a fine arts degree at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town. Although she majored in sculpture, she has ventured into painting, printmaking, dance, and installation works. Her sculptural works reflect the process, of using wood and stone, to deeply understand her connection to nature and its cyclical rhythms. Her landscape paintings, meanwhile, draw inspiration from her interaction with the natural environment. Mooney has had solo exhibitions in South Africa, Switzerland, and the United States.
