Kilmany-Jo Liversage
Kilmany-Jo Liversage (1973 - ) studied at the Free State Technikon in South Africa, where she graduated with a distinction in Painting and a BTech in Fine Arts. Today she lives and works in Cape Town, where she creates graffiti-style portraits using spray paint, acrylics, and mixed media. She draws inspiration from street culture and sources portrait images from mass media and social networks. Liversage has exhibited extensively in South Africa and around the world and her work can be found in numerous collections. In 2005, she was awarded the UNESCO Aschberg-Medellin Residency in Colombia and she’s also won several awards. Besides having her artworks in our collection, she has been commissioned to create site-specific graffiti murals at a number of Nando’s restaurants globally.
