Nando’s and Art

Nando’s is passionate about
so much more than food.

We’re always striving to celebrate the spirit of Southern Africa. If not through PERi-PERi, how else do we celebrate our homeland?

Well, at the heart of Nando’s is one little word: and.

Nando’s and Art is about bringing the extraordinary creativity of our homeland to you in ways that make people’s lives better! It’s our art that sets us apart! (Amongst a few other things).

The biggest collector
of Southern African
contemporary art in
the world?

That’s us!

Since 2002, we’ve teamed up with the Spier Arts Trust in South Africa to catalyze and empower over 350 artists from our homeland. Together, we run a ton of exciting artist initiatives that honour our Southern African roots and make a lasting investment in their creative communities.

  • Creative
    Block

Our Creative Block programme is open to all Southern African artists to hone their skills and earn regular income. Every month we send them a blank block to create something magical with, send back for curatorial review and then sell to the public – many we buy ourselves.

  • Chicken Run

Or our Chicken Run (much more serious than the name, trust us) where Southern African artists open up their studios to our team of expert curators every month for a valuable one-to-one forum and mentorship to fire-up their careers.

  • Qaqambile Fine Art

Not to mention The Qaqambile Fine Art Beading Studio we fuel, run by three brilliant bead workers.

All our artist initiatives are made to fire up the creative lives of the Southern African artists we partner with and give our customers something one-of-a-kind to feast their eyes on! We’re trying hard to play a part in helping emerging creatives forge a lasting, stable career in the arts whilst giving their brilliant creations a global platform. So next time you’re in a Nando’s, take in the view!

WHO BETTER TO SHARE THE UNIQUE STORY OF SOUTHERN AFRICA THAN ITS OWN ARTISTS?

From the studio to you!

We believe that wherever there’s art, there’s a gallery! So, we treat each of our restaurants a little like a gallery, minus the stuffiness and tickets!
